curioser and curioser…where did these roses come from?

This is a rose from a rose bush that has been growing in my garden since 2008.

It produces a lot of suckers, which I just let grow because they’re really hard to access and trim back. (I do cut them right back in the fall though).
For the first time ever, I have these new little white roses that appear to be growing from the suckers.

I find this really odd.
Can anyone provide any insight on this for me.

I’d really appreciate your comments and feedback.
